Our third date, if you will (or strike three if we want to skew negative. But as you’ll see below, we want to steer clear of the darkness). In today’s dating market – that would mean the odds of our getting to know each other intimately – would be pretty high. But since none of my readers have offered to take me out for a Paleo meal (yet), we’ll continue with this one-way relationship – I’m the resource that keeps on giving!
Here are the links to my first two articles if you missed them – useable, digestible, low in sugar but high in nutrient-dense information. Starting in article four, I’m going to describe and show one or two fitness moves per week that I find beneficial, that could be added to your workouts to help you gain strength, mobility and flexibility.

Fitness Things That Make You Go “ Hmmm…”
BOLDER SHOULDERS:
Kettlebell Training (as opposed to power-lifting shoulder movements or dumbbell exercises) is the most beneficial type of exercise for the shoulder girdle due to the range of motion (ROM) it allows. Kettlebells provide a balance between posterior, anterior, lateral movement and forces scapula retraction, which is beneficial for posture and helps prevent injury. The best and safest way to learn great technique and movements would be to check out videos by Steve Cotter – far and away the master regarding kinesiology and movement. For those who like real-world instruction, shoot me an email or call me. I’ve specialized in Kettlebells for six years.
MORE MIND-BODY CONNECTIONS:
A recent study, “Soothing Your Heart and Feeling Connected,“ shows that negative thoughts can actually be physiologically harmful while positive thinking calms the heart and BOOST the immune system. Talk about garbage in, garbage OUT! Now, that has powerful ripple effects and connotations. When one thinks about internal monologues that people have, most aren’t aware of how they THINK to themselves. Now, extrapolate that to include the words people use when talking to children/adolescents whose psyches/physiologies aren’t fully formed. One would think it is –perhaps– the most important thing we can do for the next generation: give them our best words so that they integrate those words to manifest their best, healthiest bodies. CBD Oil Use is Spreading Faster Than a Rumor on Facebook:
Cannabidiol (basically cannabis WITHOUT the THC that makes one feel high or hallucinogenic) and hemp oil are (mostly legally) used to treat issues and symptoms such as epilepsy, anxiety and insomnia. It has potential anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic and immunomodulatory properties – all big words to convey that it can do a body and mind a lot of good. There are scores of products and many ways to take/administer CBD so below is a quick overview regarding efficacy.
Oral supplements: gummies, capsules, chocolates, teas. These are readily absorbed – must be digested - so the impact occurs a bit slowly – are not as strong, and have long lasting effects, which are systemic.
Sublingual supplements: sprays, tinctures, lozenges. Things you swish and swirl in your mouth. These are absorbed fast, can be intense, effects are of shorter duration, and the effects are systemic.
Topical supplements: creams, lotions and patches. The effects are fast but localized and its impact varies according to a lot of variables like dosage, user’s body composition, etc.
