Men and women from across the country will gather at the Federal Bar in North Hollywood on Saturday, August 5 for Beard Battle: Los Angeles, Part 2, Southern California’s largest beard and moustache competitions. This year's theme is the 80s, Back to the Future.
Competitors will duke it out for prizes in 10 categories, ranging from prim business beard to chin-busting works of freestyle beard art. There’s even a ladies-only “Whiskerinas” category featuring elaborate beards from scrap metal to bacon to fake fur, virtually anything goes.

This year’s event is hosted by The Gentlemen’s Social Club of Los Angeles (TGSCLA), a local group devoted to bearded men and the women who support them. TGSCLA The Gentlemen's Social Club of Los Angeles is working with the Los Angeles Food Bank to put on a food drive for charity. They're raising food and money to fight hunger in our community and you can help!
They've partnered with local businesses to put together awesome prize packages that they'll be raffling off.
Two canned food items will get you one raffle ticket, and they'll be accepting cash donations as well. And 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Los Angeles Food Bank. They're looking for high quality, healthy food items like canned meats, vegetables or fruit.
